English
English is organized into three strands;
- Talking and listening
- Reading (including viewing)
- Writing (including spelling, handwriting, punctuation, using computers).
English is the Key Learning Area where students develop knowledge, skills and understanding about English language and literature. When students engage in planned learning experiences they develop the ability to talk, listen, read, view and write with purpose, effect, and confidence. A block of time is allocated every morning at Sacred Heart for the development of literacy.
