Human Society and its Environment
Human Society and its Environment deals with the interactions of people with one another and with the social, cultural and physical environments.
HSIE is based on developing investigation, communication and social skills whilst gaining knowledge and understanding about Australia and the world. The values in this subject tie in very closely with Religious Education and in many ways is the KLA where faith, life and culture come together.
At Sacred Heart we aim to encourage the development of children who act rationally, sensitively and responsibly in a rapidly changing world. This key teaming area also includes two elements of Languages other than English: learning about languages and learning a language. |
